Scabies are a parasitic mite that survive on their host by burrowing under the skin. They can cause severe itching which can cause openings in the skin and lead to secondary skin infections. They can also cause secondary allergic reactions in some people. Highly contagious, this parasite is not always easy to diagnose and treat, and can easily infest all the members of a household if not caught and treated as soon as possible.

Scabies are tiny parasites, so small that they are invisible to the naked eye, that will burrow beneath your skin and lay eggs. When this happens this can cause significant itching and irritation in the affected area, and as such can lead on to different infections developing. The infection is something that can affect anyone of any age or ethnic group, and as such it is always a good idea to take steps to prevent it from becoming a problem, rather than simply fighting it when the infection is contracted.
