Staffy training is best started near the beginning if you want your dog to learn speedily. The earlier you commence the better. Nonetheless, don’t get stuck into staffy training the moment you bring your new dog home. You have to give it time to settle in and familiarize itself with its new environment.

Staffies will very quickly adapt if you give them a tender welcome. They must also be given sometime to just run and play. Dogs love exploration. Keeping them in a kennel or indoors for long periods will cause them become unhappy. Human beings will get the same response if you deny them a chance to get outside.

Once you commence the staffy training, you should not stop. It is essential to keep going with the training programme until it is completed. They also need to be exercised frequently. This means that they should be taken out everyday. They are physically powerful and muscly but their physique needs care. Those who can’t set aside sufficient dog education time should not really get a staffy. A lack of exercise will lead to an unhealthy and despondent hound.

When you start staffy training anticipate progressive learning. Staffies are good learners, but they can’t be expected to learn everything in a day. It is not a good idea to play with them too much at the expense of their education programme. Like all things, sport is good in moderation if it is mixed up with other activities.
