The dream of being able to earn money working from home is one that attracts the attention of many people. The majority of these people have this dream of lying around the house all day, doing a little bit of work and then bringing in several thousands of dollars even though most of those that have tried it certainly wish that it was that easy. Many approach this like a job with no security. What is important is to come up with a plan or a discipline that will give you the freedom and the independence you need when you work from home.

Many hope to make a lot of money fast and are attracted to the well touted, ‘get rich fast’ offers that are around. Even though some of these do really work, strangely, there is rarely ever a time that they work good enough to justify all of the hype that normally surrounds them.

Paid surveys and data entry usually fall into this category; both types of offers can be found that pay out, but they often don’t live up to their promises. One imagines doing a few surveys in the morning, then having lunch and after that, doing a few more surveys and ending up with several hundred dollars for the day, this is ridiculous.

This really isn’t the way to go if you are looking for a well paid job working out of home. It’s certainly not the case that these are all scams, but scams do exist in this field, so be careful. Writing articles is a good way to go if you are good at writing. Of course how well you do will depend on how good you are.

This is why one cannot expect to earn a great deal, unless of course one gets lucky; the average payment is $6 for a 500 word article so even though when working hard, one can manage with this, it certainly will not make you rich.

One way to go is to start writing for yourself and maybe sell your articles as PLR articles. In this case, a set of about ten articles are written on a certain theme and sold to a certain number of people at a lower price. So if you priced them at two dollars a piece, you could sell that batch of ten articles to thirty people and make $600 which is a great deal more than the $60 you would otherwise have made for it.

There’s nothing to replace hard work when you want to earn well while working from home. You might take some time to get past the initial problems of working from home but once you do, things become a lot easier and organized. At some point it may be possible to put together a pool of writers you can outsource your work to, and that is when you will start to really earn money.
