This year sees the 21st (XXI) Winter Olympics being held in Vancouver, Canada. Of all the sporting events to take place this year including the World Cup this is one of the most important international ones. Of all the sports that are taking place during the Winter Olympic Games, Nordic Combined is the most demanding. This involves two winter sports namely ski jumping and cross country skiing. Those who participate are expected to be skilled in both disciplines and won’t be provided with much time between each sport taking place to rest. In some cases the time to rest may be as little as 35 minutes but sometimes they may be given a few hours rest between each one.
